Rashad Gibson
Rashad is the founder of United America. His passion is to see individuals make a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to see liberty restored to the United States while being reestablished in its Judeo-Christian values. A focal aspect of seeing liberty reestablished is investing in the next generation by planting Christian schools and training leaders to have the appropriate tools to cultivate, nurture, and grow succeeding generations.
Rashad holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion, Master of Arts in Religion (Emphasizing in Church-planting and Evangelism), and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Christian Leadership at Liberty University. The title of his dissertation is “A Descriptive Study Exploring the Relationship Between Religious and Civil Liberty and What Role Church Leaders Have in Upholding Them.” He is set to graduate in the summer/fall of 2024. Rashad was ordained by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in 2011 and served in various pastoral roles in New Jersey and Delaware. Rashad is also an Op-Ed contributor to The Western Journal. You can view his publications here.
Rashad is also a war veteran. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom while deployed to Pakistan in 2003 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. In his spare time, he enjoys reading theology, American history and spending time with family. He is married to his wife Courtney and they have three children, Amaya, Abigail, and Asher. Asher went to be with the Lord in 2020. They reside in Shelton, CT.
In the following video, Rashad gives his testimony in Hartford at the state Capitol regarding S.B. 1166, a bill proposed for education within Connecticut.
